PRIVACY POLICY

First & Remote is a college football viewing guide. This policy describes the information handled when you use firstandremote.com — what is stored on your device, what is stored if you create an optional account, and what is shared with the services that help run the site.

You do not need an account to use First & Remote. The schedule, the Couches Poll, the TV guide and your saved games all work signed out.

If you choose to create an account, you can sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. When you use Google, Google provides us with your email address, your account name and an account identifier. We do not request or store a profile photo, contacts, calendar or any other Google data. A profile record is created for you holding a display name, taken from the name your sign-in provider supplies or from the part of your email address before the "@".

If you submit beta feedback, we receive the feedback category you pick, whatever you type in the comment box, the page you sent it from, the season and week you were viewing, your browser's user-agent string, your screen width and a general device category (mobile, tablet or desktop). Beta feedback is submitted without your account identity attached. Please do not include personal details in the comment box.

First & Remote stores the settings that make the site yours, including My Teams, saved and favorite games, My Game Plan and its priority order, skipped games, your Replay List, your timezone, Hide Scores, view preferences and similar product settings.

These are written to your browser's local storage first, always, so the site works the same signed out. If you are signed in, eligible preferences are also synchronized through our backend so the same settings follow you to another device. Your analytics choice is never synchronized — it stays on the device where you made it.

First & Remote uses Google Analytics 4, and only when you allow analytics. Until you choose, and if you decline, the Google Analytics script is never loaded and no analytics information is sent.

When analytics is on, it helps us understand site usage, which pages are visited, which features people engage with, general traffic and referral patterns, device and browser information, and approximate geographic information that standard Google Analytics derives from your IP address.

Our analytics is built not to send Google Analytics your name, your email address, your First & Remote account ID, any authentication or session token, the text you type into search, or beta feedback text. Search measurement includes only non-content information such as how many characters were typed and how many results were returned. Events carry only a fixed list of non-identifying values such as game, team, conference, week, season, network, filter, view mode, timezone and page path.

When analytics is enabled, Google sets its own first-party cookies on this site, including _ga and a cookie beginning _ga_, which hold a randomly generated visitor identifier and session information. You can turn analytics off at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.

Most of what First & Remote stores in your browser is functional, not tracking: your teams, your saved games, your plan order, your timezone, Hide Scores, the week you were viewing and, if you are signed in, your session. These live in local storage on your device and are needed for the features to work.

Optional analytics storage is separate. It consists of the Google Analytics cookies described above and is created only after you allow analytics. Declining analytics does not turn off functional storage, and turning analytics off later does not remove your saved preferences.

Optional accounts are handled with Supabase authentication, provided through Lovable Cloud, and with Google sign-in when you choose it. Your sign-in session is kept in local storage on your device rather than in a cookie. We receive your email address, the display name described above, the sign-in method used and an internal user ID. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Google Analytics — receives page and event measurement when you allow analytics, as described in section 4.

Google sign-in — receives a sign-in request only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Supabase / Lovable Cloud — hosts the site and stores accounts, synchronized preferences and beta feedback. Standard server request information, such as IP address, is processed as part of serving the site.

Google Fonts — the site loads its typefaces from Google's font servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads.

CollegeFootballData — supplies schedule, score and related football data. This data is imported on our servers ahead of time; your browser does not contact CollegeFootballData, and no information about you is sent to them.

First & Remote does not use advertising networks, tag managers, session recording or heatmap tools, and does not sell personal information.

First & Remote links out to broadcasters, streaming services, networks and other third-party websites so you can get to the game. Once you leave First & Remote, that site's own privacy practices apply, and we have no control over or visibility into what they collect.

First & Remote is a general-audience college football viewing service. It is not designed for or directed at children, and it has no child-directed features. The site does not ask for your age and performs no age verification.

Preferences stored on your device remain until you remove them in the app, clear your browser storage, or they are replaced by a newer setting.

Account information, synchronized preferences and beta feedback are kept while the service operates and for as long as they remain useful for running and improving the site. We do not currently operate a fixed automatic deletion schedule, and you can ask us to delete your data using the contact below.

You can:

• Allow or decline analytics when you first visit.
• Change that choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer.
• Remove teams, saved games, replay entries, or clear your whole plan in the app.
• Clear all local storage and cookies through your browser's own controls.
• Contact us about your account or privacy data at any time.

There is currently no automated account-deletion button in the app. To request deletion of your account or your stored data, email privacy@firstandremote.com and we will handle it manually.

We may update this policy as First & Remote changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
